Tanya is a writer and professor, living in the foothills of North Georgia. She has been shaped in distinct ways by the landscapes and people of Texas, where she grew up, and of the southeast U.S., where she has worked and raised her own family with husband Chuck Bennett since 1989. She writes in a variety of genres, including fiction, poetry, scholarly prose, and pedagogy instruction. She is active in her community, motivated by a desire to foster young people toward creative, connected, and ethical lives.
